What Can I
Expect During Your Piano Service Visit?
Our visits take longer and cost a little more because we pay attention to the entire piano. Our 22 points of service is the most thorough in the business. The four components of a lovely piano are: Pitch, tone, touch and appearance. We pay very close attention to these four elements during our service visit. Our visit includes tuning the piano to concert pitch (A-440), action service and voicing, action repairs, pedal and trapwork regulation, case care, cleaning and polishing. The sound and appearance will please you.

Check keys, action & pedals for proper operation, adjust as needed.
Tighten action and damper screws.

I DON’T PLAY MY PIANO MUCH SO I DON’T NEED TO HAVE IT TUNED, RIGHT?
Piano manufacturers recommend semi-annual servicing. Here in California, with our mild climate an annual tuning is adequate. Extended periods beyond this usually result in double tunings. You face the added expense of bringing your piano back to standard and performing at its best. Regular maintenance, once a year will ensure that your piano sounds great, stays in tune longer and maintains its value.
Two of us knocking at your door – During our visits this year two of us will be calling at your door. With two technicians working side by side on your piano we can fully complete a 22 point service visit in about 90 minutes.
